They are produced in a dental laboratory based on a model of your teeth by a dental ceramist, one of the reasons for their high price.
That is why we prefer composite veneers because of their minimally invasive, esthetic and price characteristics.
Advantages of Feldspathic Ceramic Veneers
- Aesthetics: Appearance similar to dental enamel, it mimics.
- Durability: Durable with proper care and maintenance.
- Resistance: They are more resistant to staining by food or beverages, and also to wear and tear.
They allow excellent esthetic results to be obtained, but on the other hand, they lack adequate resistance to tensile forces, so fractures are frequent when subjected to excessive forces.
Disadvantages of Feldspathic Veneers
- The price is higher.
- Sometimes they require grinding of the teeth.
- Resistance: Low Fracture resistance
- In case of fracture it is more difficult to repair them and they need to be replaced.
- Further visits are required for placement.
